Ok, updates!
Boneyard is out for the count for the time being pending discussions with the landlord.
I have installed the reader on the room beside the big shed however, which should make it possible to get at the external lights without having to open the big roller door. Enjoy!

Oh also I’m testing a new version of the firmware on the ‘WeldShop’ which is the new reader I mentioned in the post above.
If all goes well, we can remotely wipe the local eeprom database so we can actually remove people without huge hassle.

This is a fairly old post, but requires some updating.
We are now out of the potted external 125khz readers that died if someone so much as sniffed near them.
All the netrols on site support remote wiping of their local card database.
The Treasurer has access to enable/disable active and inactive users.
Digifab and Craft Punk are currently lacking readers.
We’re now using RFID readers similar to these where possible inside - https://www.seeedstudio.com/Mini-125Khz-RFID-Module-Pre-Soldered-Antenna-(70mm-Reading-Distance)-p-1723.html
I’m also investigating converting fancy external wiegand 125khz to be used with our systems.
