CNC Router: Redux

There definitely is skilled people that could operate the machine. A smaller machine isn’t easier to operate in any case so the skill barrier is not a great reason to buy one. The only benefit I can see is the cost and space usage. Drew’s main concern seems to be with the risk of the investment due to other CNC devices which do not get used much as mentioned in this thread. As stated in my earlier reply, a short implementation plan to provide some accountability and actually ensure someone is willing to run workshops would probably alleviate concerns with the investment. If there’s actually a plan for the membership to approve, rather than just a purchase, it will be much easier to predict how good of an investment it is for the space given the commitment of members have promised in the plan.

I drafted up a potential template to use for an implementation plan here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_wsu8_0sgcvCiM0wffZsqRwd-0sd4A2nIpfKQl0o6Pg/edit?usp=sharing. Any feedback on the idea is welcome.
