Hsbne virtual tour

I have just uploaded hsbne virtual tour I took last night

http://tomasparks.github.io/hsbne-vtour/

PS: there are stiching errors and spelling mistakes :frowning:
and watermarks because I am using demo version of the software

I would like to join the virtual tour project

I have copy of the Virtual Reality Photography book

I also have a spherecamera (two fisheye (180x180 degress) back to back

yes please! get about it! i’d really like to see what it can do.

I had a go using point and shoot camera’s and software to create 3d models at the space - link photogrammetry experiments

lol, all i can think of is that futurama episode where the whale biologist has a hologram Roseanne deliver the world of facts… We MUST have this!

I saw your photogrammetry experiments, but i felt the hsbne entry lounge was too polygon heavy and a lot of the detail could have been faked with normal/bump maps

That looks pretty awesome, I’d love to see something like that. Also, that lounge looks great, but it kinda chugs my phone pretty bad :stuck_out_tongue:

we have two options:

I have uploaded at Virtual tour proof of concept to my githut account

it is a watermarked demo
–and-can-only-be-run-on-a-localhost-webserver-- < not true

Could you change your repo to serve the pages?

i’ve set up github pages

see http://tomasparks.github.io/hsbne-vtour/

  • I’ve added a clock (needs resizing)
  • Video (needs resizing)

i have stopped working FPS walkthrough proof of concept
work list for proof:

  • obj model file too small in blender (scale)
  • re-add lights
  • rebuild missing materials
  • cut the model up into rooms (for LoDing)
  • bake shadows maps
  • simplify mesh
  • bake normals maps to simplifyed mesh
  • save rooms as their own model file
  • export each model as x3d file
  • transcode x3d files with apot into image geometry
  • write x3d file to inline with loding the room models
  • write x3dom/html page
