Hello everyone!
We’re organising a working bee to tidy up the last bits and pieces in the container. The goal is to have everything sorted so we can sell the container before 2026.
When & Where
HSBNE Sumner Shop – 1/14 Spine Street, Sumner Saturday, 1st November from 9:30 AM
We’ll be working both in the shop and across the road at the storage area.
What We’ll Be Doing
We’ll mainly be sorting and preparing the container for sale:
Throwing out rubbish and doing tip runs
Relocating the vertical bandsaw (and possibly the 3-phase lathe)
Cutting tub organisers and shelving
Moving contents to the shop for further sorting
Consolidating what’s left into one room in the container
What to Bring
Fitted work clothes and closed shoes (steel-caps if you have them)
Water bottle, hat, sunnies, and sunscreen
Pizzas at 1:30 PM
As usual, we’ll do a headcount and order pizzas from Domino’s around 1:30 PM before wrapping up.

Hey guys it would be nice if you can take a moment to reply to this post so we know how many are coming.
I think this is pretty much the last opportunity we have in the year to have the container organised in a way that allows us to sell it without creating much of a logistic hassle.
I’ll be there.
Woo hoo, looking forward to cleaning out the last items in the container. Then we can sell the container and stop paying rent on the loss making storage fee.
Would be good to see a good turnout there for help.
