So I can get one of these for 43GBP PP, which is pretty cheap. The datasheet seems pretty straightforward.

We could happily turn something like that into a notes to membership, donations, maybe change, adding to your hsbne account for the vending machines etc.

Anyone else keen?

Looks like I should be able to interpret the serial protocol fairly easy (9600 baud) so it’d be easy enough to add to the change-to-credit machine.

Was going to post a new post about that, should I do a new one or repurpose this one?
