The next Blacksmithing & Casting Team Meeting will be held on the 22nd of January 2022 10am. The meeting will be held physically on site and virtually on the Meetings voice channel in the HSBNE discord server.
As per HSBNE’s Teams Policy, any items requiring a vote must be posted here to allow for 5 days notice to the membership. Thus the deadline for agenda items with votable aspects for this meeting is midnight the Monday before. Any items posted after this deadline will not be able to be voted upon this meeting and tabled for the next meeting for discussion and team member voting. Any HSBNE member may attend the meeting, but only Blacksmithing & Casting Team members are able to participate in voting. There will be open member forging after the meeting.

Was mentioned in another post but thought it could be good to use some of our monthly budget to purchase some basic forging materials, such as stock square or round bar, possibly some damascus or knife billets in bulk.
These could then be bought by members at a slight mark-up, say 5-10% (TBD), this takes some of the hassle of sourcing, organising and getting the raw material to the space etc.
This could also be stock material for manufacturing of tooling that is planned anyway such as tongs etc
