It’s very similar to the original Makey Makey, but with a tone generator attached. And there is a schematic and source code publicly available for that.

I’d recommend having a quick look at Julian Ilett’s videos. There a few more not in this playlist. Might be an option for you if you’d like to make this with an arduino.
