Hey This is Nathalie

Hi HSBNE! My name is Nathalie.

I’ve just joined because I heard about this incredible project from a friend and I’d like to introduce myself.

I’m interested in learning woodworking and metal working.
I decided to join HSBNE as I’ve just started building my tiny home on wheels and I’d like to build it using upcycled materials, with the lowest carbon footprint possible.
I’m a chem graduate, so a bit of a nerd. I love learning new skills and working on new machinery !
Outside of this project, I enjoy hiking, diving and playing lots of music locally.

I’d like to gain more experience with saws and woodworking, as well as electrical wiring and mechanical set up of cars throughout this project.

I’m currently taking a little career break, hoping to start a PhD mid next year in enviro chem and toxicology.

Any suggestions as to where to get materials to build my minibus would be much appreciated ! Looking forward to getting to know people in this community and learn some new skills

Heya, welcome! Three places I can think of off the top of my head:

  • Reverse Garbage in Woolloongabba
  • The Renovator’s Barn in Salisbury
  • the Demolition yard in Coorparoo

I hope that helps!
