Hi everybody, im starting to give the inductions for the new dropsaw. I’m expecting a bigger demand than usual for this machine, so i’ll be committing to one induction per week on this machine for at least the first month.
The other machines will be taken care by the usual method of voting.
As it was announced before, the old mitre saw (the hitachi one) will stay in the shop for a grace period (i’m estimating 2 months for now).
Please keep in mind that volunteer time is the most valuable asset we have so is better to signup for an induction if you are actually planning using the machine in the short term.
Remember you can make donations through evenbrite when you are getting your spot on the inductions.
Only one person so far signed for the inductions on the mitre saw. I’ll leave the current dates available for this stage of the machine implementation, but once that’s over i’ll be adding this induction into the normal induction schedule for the woodshop (eg. in order to have an induction for this machine, will have to be voted by the majority).
Now I’m putting an extra effort to make the transition smooth as possible, but maybe im not making myself clear. Once this grace period has passed, the old mitre will be sold and then you’ll have to be inducted to use the new bosch mitre saw.
