Big thanks to Dave for running the Lathe Course today. For those who are unaware, Dave is a very experienced machinist, a great asset to the space. Very informative and hands-on course - created the turning tools we used by sharpening and shaping them from tool-steel blanks, lathe set-up, several machining techniques and finally, case-hardening the finished work in the forge. If you missed it, you missed a lot.

The hardening didn’t go so well. Apologies for that. We got our pieces too hot and developed scaling. I’ll have to practice for next time.
