Linux.conf.au 2020 (on the Gold Coast)

There are potentially a few more volunteer spots left for Linux Conf Au 13-17th Jan if anyone interested - please DM me.

Think they particularly need more AV people. AV is a lot of fun and the gear they use is rather awesome - but does involve some committment/training the week beforehand.

Call for volunteers is closed but you can still fill in form here https://linux.conf.au/attend/volunteer/ and DM me so I know who you are.

You still get to see plenty of the talks.

And if you want to practice public speaking I would highly recommend speaker introduction. It’s fun and you get to meet some tech rockstars.

@spidie did this in Brisbane 2011 and had pleasure of introducing keynote from Andrew Tridgell. You might even meet Linus.

Speaker Introduction is a great way to meet tech rockstars from far and wide. Some speakers may be travelling from Europe, Asia or the USA, to present. Some may never have been to SE QLD before.
