I am looking for 3x LTC1480 (DIP package) chips.
Does anyone know where I can get them from?
Digikey have them for $4.90 :S

Shipping costs were the killer for the individual chips.
OK - if you request was just “Who has some RS485 chips” I could have given you a handful of different ones.
Was that you specifically asked for the LTC1480 in a DIP package. I thought you must have needed that for a replacement into an already exisiting PCB.
I did say that and I was looking to put it on a PCB.
However as it is a prototype I can run wire to the board to connect it. (only difference is the input voltage)
