Request for table saw induction - anyone else want to participate

Are there any other people who want to do the table saw induction and anyone that is willing to induct me/us on it? I’d really like to be able to use it as soon as possible.

To all of you whom have expressed interest, I have a question.

Previously in the class it has been essentially focussed on safety due to time constraints, and we’ve typically just turned scrap wood into smaller scrap wood.

I’m considering changing the class so you get to make a pair of wood clamps, keep one, give one to the shop. It would be a better / more interesting class. It would mean I’d be charging some nominal amount for the class to cover materials.

I’d like some feedback on this potential change :slight_smile:

I’d also be keen to be inducted into proper HSBNE woodshop procedures. I’d also be willing to spend a small amount of money to create wood clamps for common use.

Hi All,

I’ve not gotten around to announcing it officially, very busy in the non hsbne world at the moment.

I’m happy to run 4 people through the existing induction tonight (28th of Nov) at 7pm. The course will take about 2 hours and will not incur a cost. First come first served, be in the woodshop at 7.

I’ll try and have new materials etc arranged for the next class which will probably be on the 5th.

Sorry I can’t confirm more right now, just a lot on my plate.

I’ve been having vehicle issues so wasn’t sure I would make it, but i’ve managed to arrange some options so this will be happening at 7pm if we have enough attendance.
