I am organising a working bee for the 8th of february 2025 @ 9am
The main goal for this day is to reorganise the modified container in Heritage.
#When and where
We will meet at our Sumner campus at 9am. We will be working across the road on Heritage.
What we will be doing
Pulling out the contents.
Assembling Pallet shelving.
Reoganising the contents using the shelving.
Taking pictures of assets that need selling.
What should I do if I am planing to come?
Please let us know you’re coming by posting in this thread (This will help promoting the event in itself).
This is a great time to get to know the community and being an active part of our group.
If you’re coming please remember to bring:
Bottle of water.
Tight a fitted clothing.
Closed shoes (Steelies are not needed but if you have them bring those).
Hivis is not mandatory, but if you have it bring it.
Sunnies and sun-screen are always helpful (Just BYO for yourself).
Lunch will be provided
We will be doing a head count around 12pm and ordering dominos.
We are a community organisation and since nobody is employed we don’t tend to WHS regulation like in a regular workplace.
Safety is certainly a number one concern, however the use of steel boots is not mandatory. Still higly recommended.
In the day in question, most of duties we will be equivalent to move a house and I reckon we will not be using plant equipment.
Having all of these into account, please make the best decision for yourself and don’t ever put your safety at risk.
