Does anyone have a source for cheap stainless steel tubing. (I am trying to build a piston)

I have previously got stainless pipe from exhaust shops and stainless rod from marine manufacturing/supplies businesses. Neither were cheap… sorry.

I know of a bin with lots of huge chunks of stainless. They’re worn hydraulic rams. no idea about machining it, but its definitely big and definitely stainless.

Hydraulic rams are steel with a chrome coating.
