Urban Ambrosia

So a few members ( @Hally ) are doing the soylent thing, typically adapted from this urban ambrosia recipe.

I’m having a bit of trouble sourcing things locally. This is what I’ve found so far:

Honey, salt, canola oil, various vitamins and psyllium are all available at the supermarket. And I have oodles of protein powder.

Lecithin granules, salt substitute seem to be my sticking point.

Can you all clue me in on your sources? I’d like them to be centralish brisbane or able to post. Looking for convenience

Lecithin you can find at Coles.

Was delivered to me in a couple days from that company.

Lecithin is usually from Soy so maybe look in the soy foods section … AND “salt substitute” (potassium iodide) is usually marketed as “low sodium salt” or “sodium free salt” for people who have problems with high sodium amounts. I’ve typically seen it large supermarkets right next to the normal salt… just in a different color container.

This is the 2.0 version of the recipe… and its lecithin free. http://diy.soylent.me/recipes/urban-ambrosia-20

I’ve been playing around with some mixtures (dairy free, due to a protein intolerance)

The online calculator is awesome for ‘normal’ whole food too. I’ve been on a mixed soylent/no soylent diet for a few weeks now. The experiment continues.

I’d like to revive the idea of having a soylent achievement wall at the space! Little tags/plaques. “Member survived on powder diet for a week. Unlocked the Bland Palate achievement”
