Visiting From UK

I’m a member of Nottingham Hackspace in the UK, and back in 2013 I paid a visit to HSBNE. I’m not sure how many of you were members back then, but I know that I said I would come back and visit again soon.

Well, it turns out that “soon” will be in November this year. So, I thought I’d pop up on this forum and say hi and introduce myself before calling in on your open night. As I mentioned, I’m a member of Nottingham Hackspace, and I am also the creator of the RC2014 retro computer kit which some of you may have heard of.

At the start of November I will be exhibiting the RC2014 at the Wellington Maker Faire in NZ. It would be rude of me to travel all the way to NZ without popping over to Australia, so I will be taking a couple of weeks to visit Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Whilst I’m there, I’ll be calling in on as many hackerspaces or similar maker communities as possible.

I’m still in the process of planning which dates I will be where, but if any of you can let me know of any events such as intersting talks, geeky meetups, computer festivals, ham radio swap meets or anything similar then that would help guide my trip. Probably either the last week of October, or the first couple of weeks of November.

Cheers and look forward to seeing you soon

The Syntax demoparty is on in Melbourne Nov 10-11, which is probably in your wheelhouse

I still haven’t really started on my entries yet… erk.

Yes! Exactly this

Looks like I’ve got the dates 10-11 November to hook my visit to Melbourne around now.

Thank you
