Wanted: Cause Leader

Hey folks,

I’m looking for some fresh blood to take on the Cause Leadership for Electronics in the new year. I’m hoping to find someone who can invigorate the cause again and get it running in tip top shape.

I’m still going to be working on improving the bench and running workshops but it’d be nice to have someone leading while I go back to building.

Is there a job description/expectation… Or do we just wing it? What does anyone expect? Is it just a common sense approach, understanding what members want? Any other information… No manual I suppose…

Since a Cause is required to provide

  • One unique class run per month.
  • Manage upkeep of an area of the space

A cause leader must at the very least either directly or indirectly (delegation, incentivising) provide these things.

Ideally a cause leader will also motivate their cause members to do the above, as well as:

  • Tracking and managing consumables
  • Maintenance of cause specific tools.
