Specifically, what software are people using to convert CAD output (triangle meshes, etc) into gcode for CNC machines? (the task that corresponds with slicing for 3D printers)
Reason I ask is that I’m writing a CAD program (just for fun*) and need to know how far I have to go with some of the clipping functionality… Slic3r is very forgiving and can digest my STL output quite happily now, but other similar programs might not be (indeed other slicers for 3D printing vary a bit) so I just want to so a bit bigger survey and see how they behave.

- will go into reasons if interested. It’s not a trivial job but I think it’s worth it.
