I cleaned one up, but it is almost at its life end. Some one is going crazy with the relief cut on them and makes them really weak.
See if I go carnt get some more today pending work.
Ps, dont put any relief in, just weakens the tool imo

Just a note, I forgot to clean the lathe after using it yesterday, I will drop by and tidy it up today. Only just remembered this morning… sorry team.
You may notice the big ass lathe in the machine shop, it needs a good service, but would be a fantastic tool for the space in working condition.
Lathe inductions.
I have a small job that will probably take someone who knows what they are doing 10 mins.
Would rather do it myself and get inducted at the same time. How can do the induction that i can set up a time for?
We are currently reviewing our induction materials. Could you ping me on slack so I dont forget.
Do not relief the new parting tool, works really well, can see the finish does not need any more work an the aluminum, the litter boss is from stainless steel, still good finish. Was done using hand feed, could get a better finish with autofeed.
Little finger for reference, stainless steel chip
Dat cobalt yo. asdfasdfas
An example of un-excellent behavior.
Making mess is ok, please take the extra time to clean up before you leave.
Yeah its good to go, or it will be in an hour or so once ive gone and got some more tips for it.
She’s ready to rock and roll.
Win. Prob be down tomorrow some time to weld up a leaky muffler
This is far to steep a relief angle. If the tool keeps braking, something is off. At this angle it has become very weak, the relief should only be just enough to stop the tool binding.
How is the progress on classes comming?
